Effects of Spinal Cord Injury From Car Accident
A passenger in an SUV reported to NBC News that after the SUV flipped over five times she heard her shoulder “crunch” and then felt nothing. She was airlifted from the scene of the crash and rushed into surgery to treat a severe spinal cord injury. After her surgery, she was told she was a Tetraplegia. She is now using her arms, and moving her legs, again.
Tetraplegia, a/k/a or f/k/a quadriplegic, means, paralysis caused by an injury of the cervical spinal cord.
